Now for an update on Breaking and Entering MY BABY, my Fifth child. My human children have been very supportive. However they thought when they expressed a desire for a new baby, that it would be human as well. Boy were they surprised when I explained what this baby was all about and that it would be a huge priority for me.
There have been a few snags along the way. I won't lie. I have had a lot on my plate. I had planned on getting my book completed before classes started in September. Sadly I missed my goal for publishing in September. So crown me queen of lofty goals. I pushed my release date back.
Then I had all these pesky obligations outside of going to class like, cleaning the house. Believe me, these kids do not make it easy on me either. I am also a Taxi service. There I am working diligently and then a phone call or a text interrupts me and "Oh mom, by the way me and ten other kids need a ride to China...right now. Can you row us there?" Being the good mom I am I rowed them to China and back. I know, I am amazing!
Oh and we can't forget Personal Assistant. "Kay set the alarm for 5:30 I have to be at work early for a meeting and can you make a note of that so I don't forget? Kay, call these people and set up the wrestling fundraisers and then email me so I don't forget when they are. Kay, make me some flyers for this or that." Sure babe, no biggie, just a few more interruptions, no prob.
So with all of these pesky little interruptions and classes, Breaking and Entering has taken a little longer than I had originally planned. Therefore, yet again, I pushed my release date back. I no longer have a set date....:( I am afraid to set another one and disappoint everyone...and myself.
There were a few other issues too like this from my son Seamus:
All kidding aside. My family has been extremely supportive and very good to allow me to Tweet and Facebook, like a maniac, even though they tell me I love my blog more than I love them. They have even been teaching me the twitter abbreviations so I don't look too lame in front of their friends and their parents.
The truth is that I make time to stop and do these things for them because I love them and want to be there for them. That being said, I always try my best to put my family first. It isn't always a perfect balance and I often have my crazy circus balls falling all around me, but I love the life I have. I wouldn't trade the interruptions, or the duties for anything in the world.
Self Publishing has been a learning experience and I am just feeling my way through in the dark with mittens. I am starting to see a glimmer of light and I lost a mitten the other day. So I think that I am making headway! I have many emails, and text and DM's about when Breaking and Entering will be available...well you all will be the first to know! My guess is soon. :) You will just have to wait and see. :) Anticipation always makes for unforgettable experiences.
Again thanks so much for the support and keep checking in for more updates. All I can say at the moment is SOON....lol. I hope you all hang in there for me, I promise I am doing my very best to make it good for everyone! In the mean time, friend me, follow me, add me, and share me with your friends. :)
